Artistic B&B - Bed & Breakfast - Madrid

If you are planning your visit to Madrid and want to taste its world famous "tapas", but you are worried about your breaking your diet, here is the solution!! The Running Company is organizing a new initative called Run&Tapas where participants will be able to run in an urban circuit of 6km, mostly by pedestrianised areas through the centre of Madrid.

The National Museum of Romanticism in Madrid is hosting this exhibition to celebrate the Year of Russia in Spain in 2011.

The exhibition takes us through the roots of romanticism in Russia from a historical perspective. It brings together the main works of Russian artists such as Alexander Brullov, Orest Kiprenski and Piotr Sokolov. The show is composed mainly of oil paintings, although there are also some watercolours, drawings and prints.

Starting on Tuesday october 4th until Sunday october 9th. Madrid will be filled again with ideas, joy, talent… VivAmérica 2011 Festival is coming and they promise to share good moments, laughs, thoughts, music, words, party… and more.

Until december 1st visitors will be able to see this exhibition project that summarizes the work of several photographers that have explored a country submerged in a conflict of uncertain resolution for more than thirty years. The authors of the images have stayed several times in Kabul, Kandahar, Mazar-e Sarif, Herat, Jalalabad and Kunduz, among other cities, searching for that unique instant that they have captured and converted into history.

The Canal Theatres will receive Prague's Black Light Theatre show, that brings two different setups of non-verbal animated theatre, directed towards familiar audience. From september 29th until october 9th, they will perform Alicie in Wonderland, inspired in the classical tale from Lewis Carroll and with great visual effects and from october 11th. until october 16th., The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, based on the idea of achieven an idealized mother Earth.

Many centuries ago, the neighbourhood where Artistic Bed & Breakfast is located was home of some of the most important Spanish writers of all times. That is the reason that the neighbourhood is now called Barrio de las Letras (or Arts District) or Barrio de las Musas (Inspiration Muses District). As many centuries ago, this traditional neighourhood gave birth to some of the greatest Spanish works of art, nowadays in the 21st century we could say that the neighbourhood has turned into the birthplace of interior decorating and design.

A couple of weeks ago, Madrid public bus company called EMT has created a new web service that will let citizens and visitors to plan their routes using a public bus network of 216 different lines in an agile an intuitive way.

François Girard is the director and writer of this project by Cirque du Soleil. After making its premiere in New York this June, this show designed for huge venues like Madrid Arena will be make its next stop in the Spanish capital.

This is not Girard's first work for Cirque du Soleil. The director of plays and films such as 'Silk' and 'The Red Violin' was also behind 'ZED', which has become an ongoing show in Tokyo.
