Two of the best companies in the world, the Mariinsky Ballet and the Bolshoi Theater Ballet, return to the Madrid opera house.
In 2009, the Bolshoi Theater Ballet came to the Teatro Real for the first time, performing a great ballet in three acts, 'Spartacus' with music by Aram Khachaturian and choreography by Yuri Grigorovich. It was the only great company that had never danced at the Madrid opera house before. Now, following the success of that show, and to celebrate the year of Russia in Spain and Spain in Russia, they are back, joined by the soloists from the Mariinsky Ballet.
The Mariinsky Ballet, a troupe based at the Mariinsky Theater of St. Petersburg, is one of the most famous ballet companies of all time. It was known as the Imperial Ballet until the beginning of the 20th century. The history of the Mariinsky Ballet is closely linked to the art of Russian choreography, which was born over two and a half centuries ago.
For visitors coming to Madrid and art lovers staying with us at Artistic Bed & Breakfast, this is an excellent opportunity to enjoy two of the most important classical ballet companies on the planet.
The gala will take place on December 5th. and you can buy your tickets at www.generaltickets.com/teatro-real.
