The archaeological gallery Ars Histórica is currently holding an exhibition of more than 200 ancient egyptian pieces under the name "Magical Egypt" (or Egipto Mágico). The pieces range through the most significant periods of this ancient civilization, starting from the predynastic and Thinite (from 3850 BC until 3100 BC) until the Copts domination (centuries 4th. until 7th.). It is a great quality selection of objects from 4.000 years of history.

The exhibition includes vessels, ceramics, alabaster objects for daily use, extraordinary rarities from the Ancient Dynasties (Years 2670 BC - 195 BC), Ushabtys from the XII Dynasty (little statues that symbolized the servants of the dead person who were going to work for him in the other life), statues and sarcophagi from the New Empire (1550-1075 BC), jewels from the Third Intermediate Period (1.075 to 653 BC), and art works from the Greek domination period, (From 332 to 30 BC) and also some copt fabrics that narrate the history of the Egyptian empire.

The exhibition will be held until April 28th. at Calle Espalter, 13 (very close to the Prado museum) with opening hours for Tuesdays until Fridays from 11AM to 2:30PM and in the evenings from 5:30 PM until 8 PM. On Saturdays the exhibition will only open from 11AM until 2PM. The entrance is free.
